Thinking about prototypes is an interesting way of seeing how designers interact with their prototypes. And how this processes have been evolving along the years, they way they change from something rough to something more acurate to the "real thing". With technology and the designers experience prototyping has evolve rapidly in a good maner, before CAD printouts give the designer and the client a good idea of what their new design would looks like, but with quick prototypes as stereolithographic ones make it more real.
With this kind of prototypes the designer can actually touch and feel every single part of the prototype and intereact with it as the real product in proction, so that they can have a better idea of how things are going to be.
Is important to say that even if its a prototype, designers have been trying so hard to do it by the fast and the better pad without making so much trail and error, beacuase that makes it a waste of time and resources. "Find out what works and stop doing what doesnt works. "
There are many methods that a designer can use to make a prototypes but nowadays it is important to make them the easiest and quickest way without disaprobing the quality at all.
